MAYOR, Allan D. Goldhardt
Mayor Goldhardt is a third generation, lifetime resident of Commercial Point.
Allan Goldhardt began his public service in 1983. At that time, he was appointed by the Village Council to fill a vacant seat for 2 ½ years. Upon completion of that term, he was appointed to fill another vacant seat on council beginning in January of 1986 for a full four-year term. After taking a 14 year break from Village service, he decided to run for council. He was elected to serve on council in 2004. Allan was elected president of council in 2006 and again in 2007. In May of 2007, the mayor resigned and he was appointed to the position of mayor for the remainder of that term. In 2008, he was elected to the position of mayor and served a full four-year term. He was once again elected mayor in 2019 and began serving a four-year term in January of 2020.
“As mayor of Commercial Point, I am honored and proud to represent the Village. This is a very exciting time to be serving the community. My goal as mayor has been to improve the overall health of the Village for now and in the future. When making decisions, we must not only consider the immediate impact; we must also consider the long term ramifications of those decisions. We must remain fiscally responsible as we maintain our infrastructure and make improvements throughout the Village. I believe all of this is possible with the help and cooperation of our council members and the residents of the Village.”
